  • What is the quality setting of the stainless steel that UKINOX uses in its sinks?
    • UKINOX always uses only the best when it comes to premium stainless steel. UKINOX uses 18/10 Cr/Ni material, which is the highest quality stainless steel used in kitchens for sinks.

  • How do I drill extra holes in my stainless steel sink?
    • Since the faucet hole is ready in stainless steel sinks, it can be ordered with right or left dropper. Requesting an extra hole can cause the stainless steel sink to deform and cause a brown discoloration around the hole due to the heat caused by friction.

Granite sinks have pre-drilled hammered holes. Instructions for drilling the holes are given below:

Carefully place the sink on the cutting table. This will provide appropriate support. Place a small flat drill in the center of the selected impact label placed on the workbench. DO NOT DRILL FROM THE BOTTOM. Hit it properly with the hammer. Remove the clips to attach the faucet and other accessories. Follow the instructions supplied with the sink for assembly

  • Why does water leave stains on my sink?
    • If water remains anywhere in your stainless steel sink, it will evaporate and leave a thin film (stain) on the steel surface. This film can be removed with ordinary dish soap, water and a soft cloth. To remove heavier residues/stains, you can use a mild vinegar and water mixture. Do not forget to rinse thoroughly and dry with a towel. Tip for the sink: Rinse your sink regularly after use and dry it with a towel so that its surface can absorb oxygen. (The oxygen reacts with the chromium in the steel to form a strong and extremely protective chromium-oxide layer on the surface of your sink. It is this layer that makes the stainless steel resistant to rust and ensures its longevity.

  • I have a rust stain on my sink - how is that?!
    • Stainless steel is an excellent material that does not rust. However, rustable iron particles stick to the surface of the steel when given the opportunity – from metal cookware, for example. To clean this surface rust, pour a small amount of stainless steel care cream onto a damp or dry cloth. Rub the bottom or sides of the sink in the direction of the vein. You can use the soft side of the dish sponge on the bottom or sides of the sink interior, but DO NOT use it on a glossy surface. If the glossy surface becomes dull, use a steel paste-like metal polish, available from our dealers, to make it shiny again. Please do not use immersion silver cleaner. Rinse well and dry with a towel.

Tip for the sink: Rinse your sink regularly after use and dry it with a towel so that its surface can absorb oxygen. (The element that creates a strong and extremely protective chromium-oxide layer on the surface of your sink by reacting with the chromium in the steel is oxygen. It is this layer that makes the stainless steel resistant to rust and ensures its longevity.)
